Randomly it closes by itself. Usually I restart it, and It reopens the browser windows where I was.
Randomly it cannot start again. Usually, deleting the .mozilla directory (at home) brings it back to "life"
Randomly, ther's no "work around". Unique solucion is to delete .mozilla, remove Firefox, and reinstall

Maybe some add-ons, themes or plug-ins active?
Also you could run Firefox from console and wait until crash, then you could post the error while crashing.
Regards! |

Thanks, Michael
At beginning, I thought it could be some add-ons, themes or plug-ins.
At the last crashes, all was running at defaults, not even flash was installed.
A thought about some issue during the binary compilation.
I'll try to run it from console, and I'll post the error. but...
I do I run it from console? |

I tried it with gdb without success.
Have you tried to build Firefox from the Mozilla sources?

The Preferences -> Applications, is directly connected to the mime types. so it might be something related to it.
What is your release: testing or stable?
Your case of "is it just me?" might be because most of the people probably is using epiphany which is now based on webkit, no longer xulrunner.
EDIT: As I said, didn't know about this bug because I use opera and epiphany. It also happens to me, the main problem here is that firefox were compiled with debug disabling so that's why it shows no error when it crashes, I'll try to recompile it first enabling debug to see the errors .............................. Thanks Juerg. I've just reinstalled Firefox and it's working fine again.
