I would like to use dynamic clocks for my ati radeon x1200 card, but first I need to setup CONFIG_FB_RADEON. I don't know even where to start! Do I need to recompile the kernel or what?? Please help!

If you want to use radeonfb, you need to recompile the kernel, yes. However, I don't recommend this if you're not familiar with the process. There are lots of details you need to get right.

2.6.33 is expected to enter testing in a few days and it has initial power management support for radeon chips without requiring the radeonfb module. I don't know to what extent it's already supported, but it might be worth a try before recompiling the kernel and moving to radeonfb.

Thank you very much for your quick response! I will try the new kernel first and see how that goes. I'll post my progress. Thanks again, I honestly didn't expect an answer so soon
