| Chromium browser in Paldo|
I like chromium, its much faster then Firefox and has a nice feel.
For those who care:
I dowloaded the latest build http://build.chromium.org/buildbot/snapshots/chromium-rel-linux/
I tried to start the browser from my homefolder, but got errormessages like
|Code||[In neuem Fenster öffnen]|
error while loading shared libraries: libnss3.so.1d: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Thanks to http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=12562
I had to make some symlinks :
|ln -s /usr/lib/libssl3.so /usr/lib/libssl3.so.1d|
ln -s /usr/lib/libsmime3.so /usr/lib/libsmime3.so.1d
ln -s /usr/lib/libnss3.so /usr/lib/libnss3.so.1d
ln -s /usr/lib/libplds4.so /usr/lib/libplds4.so.0d
ln -s /usr/lib/libplc4.so /usr/lib/libplc4.so.0d
ln -s /usr/lib/libnspr4.so /usr/lib/libnspr4.so.0d
Now I could start the chromium browser.
Then: (I had my folder in Downloads)
|mv Downloads/chrome-linux /usr/lib/|
ln -sf /usr/lib/chrome-linux/chrome /usr/bin/chrome-browser
After that I added the executable (chromium-browser) to my menu with the icon in /usr/lib/chrome-linux/ and have my chromium browser ready.
It rocks and is ultra fast
To the Developers; an upkg package would be much appreciated
