I'm using x86_64 stable and need to use macros with OpenOffice writer. I have used 'upkg-add jre' to install the latest build of the jre, but still cannot specify a jre in the Options>Java dialogue in Writer.

Not only does Writer not recognize an installed JRE; I have tried hand-specifying every reasonable-looking path in the directory tree /usr/lib/jdk/jre etc., and none are accepted by the Options>Java dialogue in Writer

Can someone tell what, if anything, am I missing here?

This also applies to me on Paldo unstable. From console when I try to specify the directory:

Code[In neuem Fenster öffnen]
[Java framework] Invalid value for bootstrap variable: UNO_JAVA_JFW_VENDOR_SETTINGS

Running GNU/Linux Paldo 1.18 (unstable). Rock my box!
