Hi everyone,

I miss one thing for paldo: we need a release track. As far as I see this is a rolling release distro but it also gives releases and we need a big release with some sort of big change so people can get paldo's attention. Even though I use and so I know but is a great operating system, people don't really see that because it is unknown yet.

So I see that Paldo is making a release at each new ...xx kernel version, we had paldo 1.16 with 2.6.27 series, paldo 1.17 with 2.6.28 series and paldo 1.18 with 2.6.29 series. So I presume that paldo 1.19 will be released when kernel 2.6.30 gets out.

So the case is we need at least a sort of improvement, even if not needed, to use as publicity. So what do you think? If you agree, what sort of easy improvement you think can be done?

i think a new website/new design (perhaps CI) would be great.. I could do these things

testing/unstable repos to distrowatch.org -> some people are searching for packages there and then they'll find paldo, 'cause we're always up to date

I agree ritchy, Distrowatch is a website that many people uses to see if a distro is up-to-date or whatever it is, with this said I think we also should improve our package-web-search.

About website, there is a new linux distribution and to prove that visual concerns this distro uses a very appealing site which shows that a new artwork might improve a lot. (to show the new distro is called hymera and its website is www.hymera.it and www.hymera.org).

Hello. I've recently installed Paldo and it looks and run great. I like it so far and will keep using it.

How I found out about Paldo was through distrowatch, in the Dicussion area, sorta of word of mouth.

I think if you could get distrowatch and www.osnews.com to install and give a review of Paldo, that will help it get more exposure.

Just my thoughts.

I think a "personal Paldo theme" could take some attention...

A while ago, Amnon has asked for a user, sorry but I don't recall his name, and he did a great work doing a background for paldo. The background were based on the icon on paldo's website that uses a peguin from linux and boxes. That back was pretty good, but it wasn't implemented as the default.

So if we could have that back, I don't know if he's still around us, but his concept of cubes were nice.

So what I'm saying is that I think we can use as a symbol the cubes (which are already on the logo of the site) but maybe something more pure not the box but only a cube.

What do you think?

The background doesn't exist! The url give me Error 404!

I think it can be a good idea...so we have to find somebody who can create a very pretty thing
