Hello,

how can i add (or remove) scripts from the default runlevel 5?

Background is that i've installed xinetd but i have to start it manually (/etc/init.d/xinetd start) after every reboot.

I already tried creating /etc/rc5.d but it didn't work.

Thanks for your help.

You can enable xinetd by default in /etc/default/xinetd.

We do not use symlinks for initscripts, we use config files and LSB initscript headers.
