i have edit /etc/upkg.conf and i have add these line:

<repository>/home/pol/polrepo/</repository>

In that dir (polrepo) i have also specs dir and sources dir.
In sources dir i have all the .tar.bz2 packages and in the specs dir i have all the .xml packages.

If i want to try my packages what i have to do? Because if i do upkg-build ccsm it build the ccsm in the paldo repo!

Upkg has priority on the order of /etc/upkg.conf
If you put the line that explains your repository to upkg before the upkg official repo... it will prefer your packages over the official packages.

no..
the fact is probably because on your /etc/upkg.conf the line <repository>http://www.paldo.org/paldo</repository> is coming first the the one you added.. try to put your line first then this one I quoted... and try upkg-build again...

i do: upkg-build --verbose compiz
and i've got an error:

Zitat

Building compiz-0.8.2-1 (testing)...
[CHECK] mount --bind /home/pol/polrepo /var/cache/upkg/_home_pol_polrepo

i don't understand what it has...it says that it can't do "cp impossibile fare stat di `/home/pol/polrepo/binaries/compiz-x86-glibc-2.8-gcc-4.3-1-0.8.2-1-testing.tar.bz2': No such file or directory" BUT i HAVE binaries dir into my repo!

Ok the problem can be 2: first a miss speled directory, check if the file /home/pol/polrepo/sources/compiz/compiz-0.8.2.tar.bz2 exists

othar which might be the problem as well... do you have read-write permissions to that folder? (if that folder:: either the /home/..../compiz... and/or the /var/cache)

This meant...
Are you running the command as root? or as a regular user?

but first of all... check if the source tar ball that you've putted on your source repository is called compiz-0.8.2.tar.bz2

as I can see in here
Zitat
cp: impossibile fare stat di `/home/pol/polrepo/sources/compiz/compiz-0.8.2.tar.bz2': No such file or directory

Either the repository structure is incorrect or the source file is not there with the correct name that should be: $PACKAGENAME-$PACKAGEVERSION.tar.bz2

the $PACKAGENAME-$PACKAGEVERSION.tar.bz2 is correct, i check it now.
the problem was that the tar.bz2 isn't in the compiz dir!

as I can see on the compiz site... they releaseee their tarball as a gzip tar ball..
and by default upkg handles brip2 sources
you need to add a parameter to your spec so it looks for compiz-0.8.2.tar.gz instead

see http://www.paldo.org/wiki/HowtoBuildPackage#Get_the_source

on line <archive name="PACKAGE NAME-$VERSION" compression="gz">
this compression parameter might be missing on your spec
