i have see that there isn't cpufreq package!
My dual core cpu it works at max speed ever, and i don't want this!
i have do:

modprobe acpi-cpufreq

and i have set governor to "ondemand" but the frequency always stay at 1,60ghz!

i have also download and install cpufreq from linux kernel site, and i have to set manually the frequency but i don't want this! i want to do that it automatically going from 800mhz to 1,6 ghz!

how can i do this?

cpufreq with the ondemand governor works very well here out of the box with a Core 2 Duo. What CPU do you have, can you paste the contents of /proc/cpuinfo?

I don't know why it doesn't work for you, it works fine on various Core 2 systems I maintain. Do you have the same issue with stable/testing (you can try with a Live CD)?

ps: cpufreq it isn't in repo, i have to install manually or it start automatically?

cpufreq drivers and governors are part of the kernel and have been included in paldo for years. You shouldn't need to install anything manually.

ok, with testing distro works perfectly++

i'm going to remove experimental distro because it has a lot of bug (it is normal at fine )...
