Gnome is the default desktop. We used this cmd for gdm:
For KDE3/4 you have to do this:
Code | [In neuem Fenster öffnen] | | cp -fv /usr/share/xsessions/kde.desktop /usr/share/gdm/BuiltInSessions/default.desktop |
switch f is for force and v for verbose so you can see what happens
At next start kde is default. |
I get this error message:
[andreas@pc-andreas:~]$ cp -fv /usr/share/xsessions/kde.desktop /usr/share/gdm/BuiltInSessions/default.desktop
„/usr/share/xsessions/kde.desktop“ -> „/usr/share/gdm/BuiltInSessions/default.desktop“
cp: reguläre Datei „/usr/share/gdm/BuiltInSessions/default.desktop“ kann nicht angelegt werden: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden
[andreas@pc-andreas:~]$
Greetings
Andreas

Each session you can choose between the installed desktops. The new gdm uses always the first desktop file as default desktop. In an older version of gdm there was a default.desktop file. Now there isn't.
I tried kdm, the kde desktop manager. I don't know why it won't work. After kdm was started the keyboard is blocked. I've to restart kdm until it worked.
Since I've no time atm to figure out what to do, kde will be a second desktop atm and there won't be a kde-live-cd for now. |
