I would be happy to use Paldo. At the moment i am using SIDUX. I have for a long period considered Gentoo. To me Paldo seems like a interesting alternative.
But i miss a few things

1) Localization (im danish). Yes I know that I can make X and console understand my keyboard. But spelling localization in KDE and OpenOffice would be nice.

2) I miss a newsreader. I would suggest pan (development version as it is the most feature rich and stable).

Good luck for evryone with Paldo

Is there a way to localize Openoffice.org and KDE without building the whole of it. If i could get a spec. file for one of the other languages and then adapt it ???

And again than you

Thank you for your answer

Does that mean that --tag=xx will add support for that language in all packages where it has any relevance??

If so it its just terrific. And a quite unique feature for PALDO.

Have a nice day

No it is only for the xml-spec-file I created for the translation of kde4. In kde3 I used for every language a separate xml-spec-file. When I've to update all language-packages I've to edit 6 or more files, so I decided to do only one xml-spec-file for all 11 translations of kde4. Each has the language tag of the tarball. You can look at the file if you like:

And here one of the old ones:
