Mitglied Posts: 70 Registered: 2008-08-24 | When I first upgraded paldo it asked me to remove the synaptic package but the xorg driver is still there and it loads without any problem. Since then the touchpad didn't worked anymore... anyone has the same problem?
EDIT - A correction: the kernel detect and loads the Synaptic driver but Xorg says it can't detect it. The distro's xorg.conf doesn't provide any specification about input devices so I'm gonna try to add it. This problem should affect any laptop! .............................. Running GNU/Linux Paldo 1.18 (unstable). Rock my box! |

I had to manually add the configuration in /etc/X11/xorg.conf to make my touchpad work. Maybe it's a hardware-specific bug... .............................. Running GNU/Linux Paldo 1.18 (unstable). Moderator Linux-Dude Posts: 1187 Registered: 2006-11-23 | we always using the newest x.org. ours normally has hotplug so it isn't needed to do it the old way ... but if it helps you, ok. |
