Can I ignore the fact I don't have 3GB root drive? | |

I have partitioned it to have 200MB swap and about 1.7GB as an ext3 partition. I booted my computer from the live CD and took a look around (worked fine so far). Then I wanted to install it on my USb stick, and when I selected the root partition, it told me that root needs to be at least 3GB. Can I somehow make the installer "close eyes" on that (ignore it) and move on anyway? .............................. sudo make breakfast |

The standard version uses around 2.5 GB and the installer searches for a 3 GB partition to have some space for user data later on. The total amount of gb you see when you install it on a virtual machine. |

No need, it's nothing important. I'm just trying out another OS. I'll play with it in VirtualBox and then try to copy the data to stick and test my skills in making that bootable .

I knew that site, but I just like to experiment. It's the way I have fun, even if I fail. To me the fun is in attempting less usual stuff and seeing how they work (or if they work or not). About a year ago I switched to Linux from MS-DOS XP (I call it that way because I saw that "Invalid MS-DOS function." error so many times (it happens sometimes while reading buggy CDs)), and am now exploring various Linux distros while trying not to mess up my main OS (Ubuntu).
Edit: Although I appriciate your help. Thanks. .............................. sudo make breakfast |
