Hi Guys,
i am currently building a LFS system and I thought i give Upkg a try as my package manager.
My current setting is a chrooted environment with a very small collection of packages all in /tools. I installed all dependencies into /tools as well and i installed Upkg 0.248 with
Code[In neuem Fenster öffnen]
./configure --prefix=/tools --localstatedir=/var
make
make install

My /tools/etc/upkg.conf looks like this:
Code[In neuem Fenster öffnen]
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<local>
<cachedir>/var/cache/upkg</cachedir>
<repositories>
<repository>/repo/</repository>
</repositories>
<branch>testing</branch>
<arch>x86</arch>
</local>

I created a little package (upkg again) based on your guide.

However, as soon as I type upkg-build upkg, i get the following error message:
Code[In neuem Fenster öffnen]
Generating script...

Unhandled Exception: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
at Upkg.Application.Main (System.String[] args) [0x00000]
Could not generate script!

Any ideas how to get it working?

Try again with a debug build of Upkg, i.e. build it with CSC="mcs -debug", so that we see where the NRE happens.

Hmm, I replaced make with
Code[In neuem Fenster öffnen]
CSC="mcs -debug" make
but the output is still the same one.

Right, it's always built with debug info. Try

Code[In neuem Fenster öffnen]
upkg-build --debug upkg
