I'm having problems installing Paldo using the live-cd/paldo installer.
The installer fails with the error "Unable to mount root device" when it is supposed to format the disk, prior to actual installation.
If I try to mount the device manually from a terminal, mount says that the device is either already mounted or busy. The device Sda1 does not show up as a mounted device if I issue the mount command.
Hardware used:
Microstar (MSI) 915GM4 motherboard
Intel 915G Chipset (ICH6)
512Mb DDR400 Ram
Maxtor 80Gb via SATA interface
I have tried several reboots, different SATA cabel to no avail. What I haven't tried yet is a PATA hdd but I would really like to use the SATA disk.
Any ideas?
Best regards // Jorgen |

welcome to the forum.
There is a trick to get to the log of the installer.
Open a terminal and type:
In the terminal all errors got displayed.
Mark the complete log and copy it with mouse-right-click > copy (CTRL+C won't work) to the clipboard.
Post it then here into the forum, so we can help you better. |
