I've been using Ubuntu the last 3 months and this runs faster off my cdrom than Ubuntu does off the HD. I didn't have to tweak stuff for sound in multiple programs, all the codecs are there, my low end nvidia mx400 card performs better than ever and it seems everything does what it's supposed to do without tweaking a bunch of stuff. Being somewhat a noob, but having tried every distro under the sun, this is the easiest distro I've ever dealt with out of the box. I was so impressed that I sent an email to DistroWatch.
Keep up the good work. |

The cool thing about our live CD is, that it's nothing special. Apart from some package tweaks (to make it fit onto a cd) everything runs the same way as in a normal paldo system. It gets builded the same way, boots and configures the same way as a normal paldo system would do.

hehe the keyboard... the whole system is compleetly tuned to a swiss environment per default, you'll see that even the default kernel keymap and some of grubs keymap are swiss german. Pherhapps its weird to americans having to localize their system .

You know what? I'm an American and I love that I wasn't sure if I was going to try this distro, but that kind of pride is a big pro in my eyes, and gets me that much closer.
