I would like to open a thread on getting paldo to work in VirtualBox,
and to suggest that paldo comes with the VirtualBox Guest Additions
already loaded (eventually).

For now, the player recognises DVDs, but can't open them, and floppies
are not even recognises.

I realise that this depends more on VirtualBox than paldo, but this is
where we are at!

The VirtualBox Guest Additions aren't loaded. You've to install paldo first on a Virtualbox-hdd. Then install the VB-Guest-Additions like normal.

After that you've to fix the xorg.conf in terminal to use vesa as gfx-card drive to get the mouse back in VirtualBox.

guest additions are not compiling. Can you help with this?
This is the terminal log:

If you are using the 64bit edition, it may be the "No such file or directory" "bug"
and you'll find the solution here

http://forum.paldo.org/index.php?action=topic&topicnr=666&hilikeywords=a:1:{i:0;s:5:%22lib64%22;}

In a recent post, Diogo mentioned he would be busy for about 1 month. If it's something else he may sort that out as soon as he'll come back.
