Paldo without Gnome ?!? | |

What is minimal needed to run Paldo with X?
Thats the packages in paldo-desktop-base:
paldo-base
lsb-graphics
lsb-desktop
x-window-system
gnome-icon-theme
gnome-session
metacity
gnome-panel
nautilus
gnome-control-center
gnome-terminal
bug-buddy
file-roller
gedit
gedit-plugins
gcalctool
gconf-editor
gnome-user-docs
gnome-applets
gnome-system-monitor
gnome-system-tools
gnome-themes
gnome-utils
gtk-engines-2
yelp
gdm
gucharmap
notification-daemon
wireless-applet
xdg-utils
pam_keyring
So I think from this package I only need these:
paldo-base
lsb-graphics
lsb-desktop
x-window-system
gtk-engines-2
gdm
notification-daemon
wireless-applet
xdg-utils
Paldo-desktop has these packages:
paldo-desktop-base
paldo-development-desktop
paldo-multimedia
paldo-graphics
paldo-office
quick-lounge-applet
bookmark-applet
gnome-keyring-manager
paldo-disk-tools-desktop
paldo-networking-desktop
paldo-hardware-desktop
deskbar-applet
nautilus-open-terminal
nautilus-sendto
nautilus-image-converter
eiciel
gnome-backgrounds
gnome-themes-extras
zenity
msttcorefonts
I need only these:
paldo-desktop-base (modified)
xfce-desktop
gparted
xchat
synaptics
eggcups
radeontool
"hal" tag="device-manager"
msttcorefonts
Or I'm totally wrong with this thoughts? |

Please note that I won't be able to help you with this as we focus on one application per task for the core paldo distribution and I don't have time for other versions. |
