Hi guys,

Maybe somebody still remembers me. I'm Philip Müller and created once the first live-cd installer for paldo.
I took a break from the project and joined chakra-project.org, a KDE based distribution. Our key-feature was a splitted KDE so you could install the programs you wanted.

With KDE 4.7 around the corner most of the packages got splitted in upstream. It won't be not hard for me to maintain KDE for Paldo too. Also I can release some Images time to time to have a LiveCD of Paldo with KDE on it.

Tell me what you think and let me know.

Seems to be oftopic, but yes. Our project is really popular. In hopefully two month our own packagemanager is finished. We have five developers and one girl coding on it.

Since I'm still familar with the buildsystem paldo uses it wouldn't be so hard for me to add KDE again and maintain it for you guys. Just a thought. I don't know if is wanted ...

How are you by the way?

I think there would be interest in KDE as choice, now that gnome3 has become less conventional. Thanks for offering.

Hi mate,

I tested my accounts and it seems still working. I'll wait for the final tarballs but I also can start with the current RC2 tarballs if you guys don't mind. Atm I see only two votes. Does something speak against it?

I learned alot the past two years. KDE is my main desktop now. I've five KDE-Developers in my team and direct access to the kde-server to get the tarballs before they go public.

I might start my work this weekend if I'm not at a party. You guys can give my latest LIveCDs a test-spin. I've similar with a paldo-deviant in mind.

I work already on it. thx. I released a KDE 4.7 livecd of chakra with Jürgs suggested patches:
