| GRUB BOOTDIR|
from now on it's possible to use GRUB on a separate partition without a softlink-"hack".
If you installed GRUB on /dev/sda1 and use your / root on /dev/sda2 you can set the variable BOOTDIR in /etc/default/grub to empty to use base path of /dev/sda1.
By default paldo uses /boot but you can set this to empty if you use boot on a single partition. The changes are in unstable now and will be in stable within the next days.
