I used this in a xml of mine:

Code[In neuem Fenster öffnen]
<cmd>rm -f /var/lib/upkg/packages/downgrade-gcc*</cmd>
<cmd>rm -f /var/lib/upkg/packages/gcc-4.0*</cmd>
<cmd>upkg-install --force gcc</cmd>
</archive>

Code[In neuem Fenster öffnen]
 [CHECK] upkg-install --force gcc
Generating script...
Writing script...
Executing script...
The following extra packages will be installed:
gcc

Do you want to continue? [Y/n] Y

But got a [Y/n]-question. Then I tried this:

Code[In neuem Fenster öffnen]
[amnon@amnonsstation:~]$ sudo upkg-install --force gcc
Generating script...
Writing script...
Executing script...
System already up-to-date.
[amnon@amnonsstation:~]$ sudo upkg-build --force smplayer
Generating script...
Writing script...
Executing script...
The following packages will be upgraded:
smplayer

The following packages will be built from source:
smplayer

Do you want to continue? [Y/n] n
Abort.
[amnon@amnonsstation:~]$ upkg-show upkg
upkg-x86-glibc-2.5-gcc-4.1-1-0.237-1

Is it broken?

From the IRC:
Zitat
<juergbi> amnon: you have to use --force on the built script itself
<juergbi> upkg-install --force just disregards dependencies
<juergbi> it's a bit confusing, i know...
<amnon> so there is no force to install it without [Y/n]
<juergbi> there is but you have to call upkg yourself
<juergbi> i.e. do what the upkg-install script does and just add --force to the last command

Can you give me an example?
